I began collecting Collectible Stamps n 1963 at age 9. My first Mint stamp was the JFK US Issue Scott# 1246. Prior to that I was obtaining Used stamps off incoming mail. I had a Grandmother with relatives in Germany and every time I saw her, she would hand me an envelope full of mostly German stamps to soak and sort. 

I began Dealing in Stamps in 1991 at Rare Stamp Shows on the West Coast and soon began holding sales booths at National Stamp Shows - added an Internet presence in 1996
